Jackie Pappalardi

Jackie Pappalardi, RN. BSN

Executive Director of the Foundation for Quality Care

In this role, Jackie directs the overall management of the Foundation for Quality Care including the development and implementation of all its educational programs, research projects, and fundraising activities. Jackie is a registered nurse with more than 40 years of service in the public and private healthcare delivery system. Her experiences include leadership positions to achieve accreditation, develop and implement emergency management programs and build strong quality improvement practices.  She has demonstrated leadership and management experience at the state level enabling her to work closely with providers across the healthcare continuum.  She provides leadership to NYSHFA-NYSCAL on policy guidance, member operation services, and the direction for the clinical, quality, and education programs for nursing home and assisted living providers.  Jackie is responsible for program development and coordination of the Long Term Care Leadership Institute. Jackie serves on the American Health Care Association’s Quality Committee and Emergency Preparedness Committee and has presented at region, state, and national conferences.

Melony Spock began as a part-time program assistant in April of 2007 working on various projects including the Warfarin Safety Study, Customer Satisfaction Grant and the Mouth Care Without a Battle grant project. In February 2019, Melony took on a full-time position to coordinate special projects and assist with the Foundation for Quality Care. Melony previously worked as the Education and Membership Manager for PS21 in Chatham, NY where she developed an education program for youth and seniors. In her free time, Melony is very active in her community. She has served as President of the Board of Education for Chatham Central School District and serves in an elected position as a Chatham Village Trustee.

Amy E. Lee

Amy Lee is the President and CEO of Coretactics™ Healthcare Consulting, Inc. Amy has a Master’s in Nursing, a Certification in Nursing Rehabilitation, is a certified OASIS Master Trainer, a QAPI Certified Professional.

She is a pragmatic and innovative national speaker who uses her decades of experience in acute and skilled nursing to bring a holistic approach to healthcare operations. Amy has established numerous best practice approaches in falls reduction, wound care management, antipsychotic reduction, behavioral management, infection prevention & control, person-centered care planning, and reducing re-hospitalizations, just to name a few.

Her knowledge of regulatory compliance, operations, CMS Five Star Rating, MDS 3.0, CMS Quality Measures, and reimbursement allows her to assist teams with improving resident care as well as their strategic position in the healthcare market.
